Fresh stone ground cornmeal has a sweet, fresh flavor, making delicious cornbread or any recipe calling for cornmeal. We grow a unique, open pollinated variety, Wapsie Valley, named after the area in Iowa where it was first selected. Ten percent of all Wapsie Valley kernels are deep red and flecks of these kernels can be seen in the meal. With no preservatives or additives this cornmeal should be used within 1 month or kept refrigerated or frozen.
